Fort Perch Rock

Fort Perchrock is a coastal defence battery built in the 1820s in New Brighton at the mouth of the Mersey, England. It was built to protect the Port of Liverpool, and mounted 18 guns, mostly 32 pounders. 3 6" guns were installed in 1899. It was originally cut off at high tide, but now coastal reclamation has made it fully accessible. It is currently open as a museum.
