Florimund Mercy

Count Claudius Florimund Mercy (1666-1734) was a French field marshal. field marshal; Foster father of Florimund count Mercy d'Argenteau . Starting from 1682 in Austrian services, succession war was characterised, in the Polish succession to the throne war as well as in the Turk war in the Spanish.
  • 1719 - governor of Sicily, from where it expelled the Spaniards
  • 1720 - governor of Banat
  • 1923 - named marshal and Commander-in-Chief of Italy.
