FlogstaFlogsta is a neighbourhood in the Swedish town of Uppsala about 10km north of Stockholm. Most of its inhabitants consists of students that attend the Uppsala University, which is the oldest and most prestigous university in Sweden. Around 2.000 of those live in Sernanders vg, a student housing area made up of 12 eight storey buildings. In 10 are dorms where students live in rooms with private bathrooms and shared kitchens (12 students per kitchen). On the top of each building is a sauna. A couple of hundred international exchange students gives the area an international atmosphere. Most of them come from Germany, France, USA, Australia, Canada, Italy, Spain, Hong Kong, Japan, The Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic and United Kingdom. Every evening at 10 o'clock you can hear the famous "Flogsta screaming" when the students let all their frustrations out by screaming from windows, balconies and roof tops. In Flogsta there is; 1 grocery store; 1 convenience store; 4 pizza places; 1 restaurant; 1 hair salon; 1 bikeshop. External links
