Flip Skateboards

Flip Skateboards is an American-based skateboard company, owned by Jeremy Fox and Ian Deacon. The company manufactures skateboard decks, wheels and clothing. Flip is owned by the company Blitz. Flip Skateboards originally started in the UK in the early 1990's as Deathbox Skateboards until they moved to America and rebranded themselves with the name 'Flip', to more suitably reflect current skateboarding. The original name 'Deathbox' was a term used for the overflow channel in the largely redundant form of pool skating at the time. The Flip team consists of nine professionals, and currently one amateur skateboarder: Tom Penny, Ali Boulala, P. J. Ladd, Mark Appleyard, Geoff Rowley, Rune Glifberg, Bastien Salibanzi, Danny Cerezini, Arto Saari and Alex Chalmers. Flip Skateboards released their first video entitled Sorry in 2002, and in 2004 released a sequel, Really Sorry. Also available as a DVD Bonus on UKVM #3 is the untitled and unreleased Flip video from the early 1990's.
