Flinders UniversityFlinders University is located in Adelaide, South Australia and was established in 1966. Flinders occupies an attractive elevated site south of the CBD, with views over the Adelaide Plains and towards the coast. A medium-sized institution, the main campus is located alongside Flinders Medical Centre that houses the medical school. The other two universities in South Australia are the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia. The university maintains a number of external teaching facilities in regional South Australia, south-west Victoria and the Northern Territory. There is a strong emphasis on collaboration between disciplines. The establishment of the Centre for Neuroscience has helped to increase the prestige of Flinders as an institution as well as provide a unified body for neuroscientific research. The Flinders University School of International Studies and Politics is also a nationally respected faculty. The University is set to become the South Australian partner of the Australia New Zealand School of Government. Flinders University is a member of Innovative Research Universities Australia (IRU Australia). ASMS The ASMS is the Australian Science and Mathematics School.
