The story revolves around the Norwegian police officer Harry Hole, who is asked by the Australian police to help them solve the murder of a Norwegian b-celebrity. In King's Cross, Sidney's more shady side he walks the streets among prostitutes, pimps, and pushers. It doesn't take long until he realizes that he has unwantedly become an important part of a dangerous game that he'll just have to solve - one way or another. This is the first book about Harry Hole
