Fjallsrln

Fjallsrln is a glacier lake at the south end of the Icelandic glacier Vatnajkull. Fjallsjkull which is part of the bigger glacier reaches down to the water of the lake and some ice-bergs are drifting by on its surface. It is situated not far from Skaftafell National Park and the better known glacier lake Jkulsrln. From the glacier lake Breirln a little river flows into the Fjallsrln. Above, there is looming the famous volcano Hvannadalshnjkur or rfajkull. At its shore, in the summertime, it is better to beware of the skas, big seagulls which have their nests on the ground around the lake.
