First Silesian Uprising

The First Silesian Uprising (Polish: Pierwsze powstanie śląskie) was the first out of three insurrections of the Polish people in the Upper Silesia region against the occupying German / Prussian forces. The object of the uprising was to liberate the region and become a part of Poland, which regained its independence after the World War I (1914-1918) The First Silesian Uprising occurred from August 16 to August 26 of 1919.
