Fireblade

Fireblade is the world market term for Honda Motorcycles 900cc sportbike. The term is seldom found in the US, where the CBR900RR designation prevails. It encompasses several models spanning many years, starting with the CBR900RR in 1992. There were several revisions to this model made over the next eight years, ending in 2000 with the introduction of it's replacement, the CBR929RR. The 929 lasted for only three years, being minorly revised in 2003 with an increase in displacement to 954cc along with other changes, resulting in a model change to CBR954RR. The 954 was even shorter lived, with a replacement arriving as a 2005 model, the CBR1000RR. Finally the venerable Fireblade arrived at a true liter of displacement to more easily compete with liter bikes from Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki.
