Finnish Animeunion

Finnish Animeunion (Finnish:Suomen Animeunioni) is a Finnish forum/website and an union providing the means of communication between the multiple anime organisations or societies existing in the country. The organisations involved operate with total autonomy but the union is used to organize common business and interests. These include e.g. setting up various events (for example the Animecon) and participating in them, media contacts, common campaigns and so on. The basis for Suomen Animeunioni was created during the Otakut-societys "Kuusilonkero"-celebration in the spring of 2002. So far Suomen Animeunioni mainly works via internet but union strives to bring forth common in real life meetings.
