Fimo

FIMO is a name for a brand of polymer clay. Though other brands of polymer clay exist (Sculpey, Promat, Cernit, Friendly Clay, Formello, Modello) FIMO is the best known. Owing to this, FIMO was in danger of becoming a generic term for polymer clay. Eberhard Faber has introduced new forms of FIMO. The Fimo of the early 1990s is sometimes called classic FIMO. This clay comes in many different colors; there are many finishes to choose from, and even a softener to use with it because it can be hard to work. The clay is used form making many things, including jewelry, accessories, and small trinkets. Once shaped, the clay is baked in a standard or toaster for just a few minutes and then it becomes hard. Once baked, the clay can be cut, drilled, painted, sanded, sliced thin. One of the amazing uses of Fimo is dollhouse food and accessories.
