Fieldbus Control System

A fieldbus control system is a form of decentralised control which links PLC's via a Controller Area Network (CAN) to control the manufacturing processes at the workshop-floor level. Such systems include Profibus, Netbus, LonWorks, Industrial Ethernet and many other. See also component-based paradigm.
