FennyAn Indian liquor made from either coconut or the juice of the cashew apple. Fenny originated in Goa, and the Goan fenny is generally considered superior, with the best brand being "Big Boss" (available both in coconut and (slightly more expensive) cashew versions). The alcohol contents of fenny is roughly similar to gin. Like gin, it is a clear liquid, and it is consumed in much the same way. Especially the cashew variant has an odour so strong that it can be smelled on a person's sweat the day after drinking it. Some people believe that fenny can help with stomach problems, but if consumed excessively it produces a hangover at least as bad as that caused by other liquors. Fenny is often used in cocktails, the most common mixer is lemonade, but it can also be enjoyed on its own, on the rocks, or perhaps with a slice of lime.
