Faye Kellerman

Born in St. Louis, USA in 1952, Faye Kellerman is the author of the "Peter Decker/Rina Lazarus" crime novel series, as well as two non-series books, The Quality of Mercy and Moon Music. She has a BA in mathematics and a DDS, both from the University of California, Los Angeles, although she has never practiced dentistry and was a full-time mother before publishing her first novel. Her writing frequently deals with Jewish themes and characters, incorporating them into the framework of the traditional mystery. Kellerman is a practicing Orthodox Jew, as is her husband, the novelist Jonathan Kellerman. The only married couple ever to appear on the New York Times bestseller list simultaneously (for two different books), they have four children and live in Los Angeles.
