Father Edward D. Kelly

Born December 30, 1860 in Hartford, Michigan, Father Edward Denis Kelly was ordianed into the priesthood on June 16, 1886 in Detriot, Michigan. Father Kelly became Bishop of Grand Rapids on January 26, 1911. He died on March 26, 1926. He is noted as a major contributor to the founding of Theta Phi Alpha, a Catholic women's sorority at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, Michigan. Father Kelly is may be referred to as either Father or Bishop as he was both.
