Fat BlueIn the children's television show Sesame Street, Fat Blue is a recurrent customer at Charlie's Restaurant, despite the fact his orders always go awry in the hands of Grover. In a series of restaurant skits, Grover is a waiter for Charlie's, a table service restaurant visited regularly by Fat Blue. Blue is in a rush, and has no time to wait while Grover makes mistakes. Blue always receives what he orders, but the order has been twisted in some way. Skits end with Blue walking away in a huff, or even fainting. Yet, despite poor service, Blue always return's to Charlie's. He attended a nightclub lounge in one segment, and was pestered constantly by the Squirrel Nut Zippers. In the series itself, Fat Blue is referred to as Mr. Johnson and Fred. His name is derived from the Muppet Workshop pattern used to create him. Fat Blue is performed by Jerry Nelson.
