Faroese Communist Party

Froya Kommunistiski Flokkur (Faroese Communist Party) was founded at a conference in Trshavn 14th-15th of June 1975. In 1974 a communist group had started organizing in the Faroe Islands which preceded the foundation conference. The chairman of FKF used to be Egon Thomsen and the party secretary Trur Jansson. The publication of FKF was Tin. The current status of the party is unclear. One source claims that FKF ceased to function in 1981 when Trur Jansson left the islands to study English in Glasgow.
