Fame (Band)

Fame is a Swedish duo consisting of Jessica Andersson, (b. 1973) and Magnus Bcklund, (Linkping, 1965). Music has been a huge part of their adult lives, but six months ago they were completely unknown in Sweden. They met each other at the televised arts school and contest Fame Factory, which aired in autumn 2002. Bcklund was the overall winner, while Andersson dropped out to give birth to her son Liam. Bcklund also has two young twin daughters at home. Andersson is a former photo model and Bcklund is a commercial pilot. They share Stevie Wonder as their role model. Fame won the favour of the Swedish public and the jury with "Give Me Your Love" in a landslide victory in Melodifestivalen at the Stockholm Globe Arena. Therefore they could represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 and reached a top-5 position. See also: List of Swedes in music
