Fakhruddin 'Iraqi

Fakhruddin 'Iraqi (born June 10, 1213), also known simply as Iraqi''' or Araqi''', was a Persian philosopher and mystic of the Islamic tradition. His works synthesize the theoretical and practical elements of Sufi teachings with the mystical perfumes of Sufi poetry. Born in Kamajan, near the better known city of Hamadan, 'Iraqi descends from the spiritual lines of both Muhyidin Ibn al-'Arabi and Jalaluddin Rum. In the 13th century, he produced several notable Persian writings, including his Lama'at, the Divine Flashes, which is a commentary for the Bezels of Wisdom of Ibn al-'Arabi.
