Fairlight (Daw)The Fairlight CMI (computer musical instrument) was an expensive computer system used for music sequencing in the 1980s. It cost US$100,000 when first released and was notoriously difficult to program, but was an important predecessor to today's more inexpensive, flexible audio production tools.
