Fairfield University

Fairfield University is a private, co-educational university located in Fairfield, Connecticut. It was founded by the Society of Jesus in 1942, and today is one of 28 member institutions of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities. Over 3,100 undergraduate and 1,000 graduate students study in Fairfield's four schools and colleges: Arts and Sciences, Business, Nursing, and Engineering. Fairfield University is a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and is classified as Division 1-AAA in the National Collegiate Athletic Association for its athletic programs.
