Fair And Balanced

The tagline "Fair and Balanced" is used by the Fox News cable channel to describe its reporting, which it promotes as a counter of the alleged "liberal bias" of the other major networks. Some people regard the slogan as deceptive, and the FCC was asked to investigate. In its response, an FCC spokesman said that it had never been asked to investigate a TV news show's "slogan" before, and that to evaluate the substance of the complaint would tread on the First Amendment rights of Fox.
