Fab Five

  Fab Five is a play on the Fab Four, the famous nickname for The Beatles.  It has been used to refer to the following: 

• Pop band Duran Duran, which in the 1980s had a hysterical teenage following reminiscent of Beatlemania

• The starters on the University of Michigan men's basketball team that played in the NCAA championship game as freshmen in 1992 and again as sophomores in 1993, losing both times. (See Jalen Rose, Chris Webber, and Juwan Howard.)

• The five gay male regulars on the television show Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.
