F. W. Champion

A pioneer of wildlife photography in India, Champion was an officer with the Imperial Forest Service and was based in the Central Provinces of India. Using a camera trap Champion photographed tigers and inspired Jim Corbett to turn to wildlife photography. He wrote about his experiences in wildlife photography in the book The Jungle in Sunlight and Shadow.
