Expert Field Medical Badge

right The Expert Field Medical Badge is a decoration of the United States Army which was first created in 1965. The badge is the non-combat equivalent to the Combat Medical Badge and is awarded to any medical personnel of the United States Army who successfully complete a qualification test battery of field medical examinations. For those personnel who receive the Expert Field Medical Badge, and then later receive the Combat Medical Badge, Army regulations prohibit the wearing of both decorations simultaneously. In such cases, a service member may chose which badge to wear on the military uniform. The infantry equivalent of the Expert Field Medical Badge is the Expert Infantryman Badge.
