Evolvability
Evolvability
is a concept in that relates ability of a particular phenotype to be
robust
to
mutations
. It can be more precisely defined as the relative frequency of "good" mutations to a
phenotype
. Evolvability is thought to be determined primarily by the structure of the
genotype to phenotype mapping
(i.e. the organism's developmental system).
