Everything You Know Is WrongEverything You Know Is Wrong is the name of a Firesign Theatre comedy album from 1974. Like the group's other albums it is made up of a series of surreal skits that make satiric comments on contemporary topics. In this album the skits are connected by being played on, or occurring in, the studio of "Happy" Harry Cox's pirate radio station. Cox uses his pirate radio station to promote the "New Age" and other counter-culture beliefs. Noteworthy quotes "Happy" Harry Cox - Now don't be afraid, here in the "New Age", because there is a 'seeker' born every minute.
- This is a paraphrase of the well-known aphorism, usually attributed to PT Barnum, that "there is a 'sucker' born every minute.
Narrator of an "official stolen secret government training film" on how to deal with an alien attack - Avoid eye contact. If the aliens have no eyes, avoid 'all' contact.
- They think he is insane, yet he outranks them.
Notable characters - ''Nino Savate the psychic mind-bender'' -- a parody of Uri Geller.
- Dare-demon 'Rebus Canebus' -- a parody of dare-devil Evel Knievel.
- Don Brouhaha a Native American shaman with a knowledge of natural psychoactive drugs -- a parody of Carlos Castenada's fictional shaman Don Juan Matus.
