Everything Must Go was the fourth album by the Manic Street Preachers. It contains five songs with lyrics by Richey James Edwards, and was released in 1996. The album takes it name from a play by Patrick Jones, Nicky Wire's brother. It was originally going to be called Sounds In The Grass - a painting by Willem de Kooning, who is mentioned on track ten "Interiors (Song for Willem de Kooning)". So far the album has gone double platinum in the UK. In 1998 Q magazine readers voted it the 11th greatest album of all time.
