eSlavery is a pejorative term used by European opponents of Digital Rights Management and trusted computing. Slavery here refers to the restrictions of use imposed by the technology producer or the intellectual property rights owner. e stands for electronic, and the term is modelled on mainstream terms such as email, eCommerce and others.
