Erpe-Mere is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Aaigem, Bambrugge, Burst, Erondegem, Erpe, Mere, Ottergem and Vlekkem. On January 1st, 2004 Erpe-Mere had a total population of 18,938 (9,373 males and 9,565 females). The total area is 34.03 km² which gives a population density of 556.46 inhabitants per km².
