Erik Poppe

Erik Poppe (born 1960) is a Norwegian film director. Erik Poppe was educated as a cinematographer at the Dramatiska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden. His first public success was Schpaaa in 1998. With Hawaii, Oslo (2004) Poppe had established himself as a film director in Norway, as well as the co-owner of Paradox Films. He is one of Norways most experienced directors of commercials and has won a number of prizes for commercials and music videos, as well as short films and documentaries. Poppe was responsible for the conceptual development and direction for the first four episodes of TV-drama Brigaden. Poppe worked as Director of Photography on Eggs, and was voted Director of Photography of the year in 1995.
