Epipremnum PinnatumEpipremnum pinnatum, commonly known as Pothos (once classified under genus Pothos), Taro Vine, and Silver Vine is a popular houseplant with heart-shaped leaves and decorative spotting in white, yellow, or light green. Pothos is a climbing vine (liana) of considerable size in its native habitat (South-East Asia) (or where naturalized in tropical forests). It is in the flowering plant Family Araceae. The plant is a very common house plant and is often used in decorative displays in shopping centres, offices, and other public locations largely because it is a very hardy plant that requires little care and is also attractively leafy. For best results it requires low to medium light; bright light in extreme case, but direct sun would scorch the leaves. The plant prefers a temperature of between 16 and 24 degrees Celsius (60 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit). Generally it only needs water when it begins to feel dry to the touch. For best results a fertilizer stick can be added in spring, and should be repotted every couple of years. However, this is a robust plant that can stand a fair degree of abuse. In its natural habitat, it can grow up to 12 meters (40 feet) in length, and even as a houseplant it can reach an impressive 2 meters.
