ensiferum

Ensiferum is a Viking/folk metal band from Helsinki,Finland. The band members are Petri Lindroos (also Norther) (vocals, guitar),Markus Toivonen (guitar), Sami Hinkka (bass), Oliver Fokin (also Wintersun) (drums) and Meiju Enho (Synth).

Former/past member(s): Kimmo Miettinen - Drums (ex-ArthemesiA, Cadacross) Jukka-Pekka Miettinen - Bass (ArthemesiA, ex-Cadacross) Sauli Savolainen - Bass Jari Menp - Vocals & Guitars (ArthemesiA, Wintersun) Trollhorn - session keyboards (Finntroll, ex-Korpiklaani) Additional notes Ensiferum is latin, and translated literally means ``The bearer of iron``, but in context means ``The wearer of the sword`` or ``Sword wearer`` Jari Menp, ex-guitarist/ex-vocalist did all the albums with Ensiferum, left at the end of 2004 to work on his solo project "Wintersun" and relesed an album "Winter Madness". Jari recruited 3 members to Wintersun and looking for a forth(synth player).
