An endergonic reaction is a chemical reaction in which the change in free energy is positive. An endergonic reaction is a reaction in which ΔG > 0 in Gibbs free energy, in contrast to an exothermic reaction, which uses ΔH as in enthalpy. See also: exergonic reaction
