Encore Notation Program

Encore is a scorewriter program for Microsoft Windows and Macintosh, popular since the 1990s. It was developed by US company Passport, then (upon Passport's demise) acquired by Gvox. The program has a reputation for being easy to use, though it lacks some of the more advanced engraving, graphic sophistication, and publishing capabilities of other software such as Sibelius and Finale, which have supplanted it in recent years.
