Emerson College

Emerson College was founded in 1880 as a "school of oratory", in Boston, Massachusetts. It is located near the Boston Common, in an area formerly known as The Combat Zone. Emerson has long been notable for its programs in communications and theatre arts. Currently, Emerson is "the only comprehensive college or university in America dedicated exclusively to communication and the arts in a liberal arts context." Emerson's current President is Jaqueline Liebergott. It operates radio stations WERS-FM (88.9) and WECB-FM (99.9) and the Cutler Majestic Theatre.
