Emaar

Emaar Properties ( Arabic: إعمار العقارية), is a Company based in the city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It owns some outstanding real estate including Burj Dubai which is supposedly to be the tallest building in the world. Emaar Properties is a Public Joint Stock Company listed on the Dubai Financial Market. With an asset base of US$ 7.7 billion (including land) Emaar has witnessed tremendous growth since its inception in 1997. In 2003 Emaar reported net profits of AED 676 million (US $ 184 million), a 31 percent increase on the previous year. Total sales revenue was AED 3.72 billion (US $ 1.01 billion) up 179 percent on 2002.
