Elena LappinElena Lappin is a British author and journalist, born in Moscow in 1954, who grew up in Prague and Hamburg, and has lived in Israel, Canada and the United States. Her husband is a US citizen. She lives, since 1993, in London where she edited the Jewish Quarterly from 1994 to 1997. In 2004, Elena Lappin became known as one of the journalists deported from the United States due to a lesser known requirement for journalists to apply for a peculiar kind of visa. Elena Lappin's experience of the deportation from the US has been printed in prestigious news papers, such as Los Angeles Times and The Guardian.
