electronic ticket

An electronic ticket or e-ticket is used to purchase a seat on a commerical airline. This form of a ticket is rapidly replacing the old paper tickets that had been used in the past. Where paper tickets are still available, airlines frequently charge extra for issuing then. Paper tickets may still be required if you want to change airlines since many airlines do not have the ability to accept an e-ticket issued to fly on another airline.
