Electric Sheep

The phrase Electric Sheep is taken taken from the title of Philip K. Dick's novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?". Electric Sheep is a distributed computing project for generating fractal movies while your screen saver is running, created by Scott Draves. The movies, which are called sheep, are distributed under the creative commons license and automatically downloaded by the screen saver. Each movie is a fractal flame with several of its paramaters changed over time. Users may vote on sheep that they like or dislike and this voting is used for the genetic algorithm which generates new sheep. The Electric Sheep comix are the work of Berkeley-based artist Patrick J Farley. Electric Sheep is the name of a band formed by Adam Jones, future (Tool) lead guitarist, and Tom Morello, future Rage Against The Machine guitarist.
