The following chart shows the results of the elections for the 23rd congressional district of Ohio. The 23rd district was created after the elimination of the at-large seat after the 1950 election. The 23rd district was eliminated in the redistricting following the 1980 census. Bold type indicates victor. Italic type indicates incumbent.
