Eleanor Bron

Eleanor Bron (born 14 March, 1938) is a British actress, from Stanmore, London. Her notable film appearances include a role in the Beatles film, Help! and in Peter Cook and Dudley Moore's film Bedazzled. On television, she has played the character of Patsy's (Joanna Lumley) mother in the sitcom, Absolutely Fabulous. During 2001 and 2002 she has been appearing in the BBC radio comedy sketch show, The Right Time, along with Graeme Garden, Paula Wilcox, Clive Swift, Roger Blake and Neil Innes. She is often credited as an inspiration for the name of the Beatles song "Eleanor Rigby". Until his death in 2003, she was married to architect Cedric Price.
