Elbow Cay

Elbow Cay is a six-mile long cay in the Abaco Islands of the Bahamas. It is known for its key lime pies and beautiful scenery. The 18th century village of Hope Town is located on Elbow Cay, built around a protected harbour. Golf carts are the main mode of transportation there. Hope Town is known for its red and white striped lighthouse (36m (120ft)), built in 1863 by the British Imperial Lighthouse Service. In 1999, Elbow Cay suffered significant damage from Hurricane Floyd.
