EFREI
The cole d'Ingnieurs des Technologies de l'Information et du Management (Former: cole FRanaise d'Electronique et d'Informatique) is a french private ingineering school, agreed by the French administration, specialized in computer science and electronical engineering. It delivers an engineer diploma decreed by the Commission des Titres d'Ingnieurs equivalent to a 5th years universitary cursus.

History

EFREI was created in 1936, under the name of cole Franaise de Radiolectricit (EFR) ; it settles 10 Amyot Street in Paris. In 1945, its diploma receive the State agreement, which allows it to accept grant-holder students. A engineers section was created in 1947; the diploma for the EFR engineer diploma was recognized by the Commission of the Engineers Titles in 1957. In 1969 the teaching of computer science was introduced then naturally that of the networks. In 1987, EFREI engages in the only engineer formation opens a second site in Villejuif. Promotions are increased from 70 to 160 pupils. Several growth phases happen and in September 2001 EFREI is located on one only 10,000 m campus in Villejuif. School classes include about 300 students. Today, more than 4 500 EFREI engineers work in companies in very varied functions: studies, development, commercial, direction of company, consulting...
