Edmundo Alves De Souza Neto

Edmundo Alves de Souza Neto (born April 2, 1971 in Niteri) is a Brazilian football player. He played several seasons Clube de Regatas Vasco da Gama. After three seasons playing in the J. League for Tokyo Verdy 1969 and Urawa Red Diamonds, he returned to Rio De Janeiro to play for Flamengo forming a partnership called The Bad Boys along side long time friend Romario and also with Savio. The Bad Boys didn't last long as it wasn't as successful as predicted followed by a move to ACF Fiorentina to form an attack with Argentinian striker Gabriel Batistuta. He now plays for Fluminense. Edmundo played for Brazil at the 1998 World Cup and is known for his fiery temper and subsequent receiving of numerous red cards and earning the nickname The Animal.
