Edmontonleduc

EdmontonLeduc is the name of a federal electoral district in Alberta, Canada. Its population is 95,700. (2001)

Geography

The district includes the southwestern portion of Edmonton as well as the Town of Devon and the City of Leduc and vicinity.

History

The electoral district was created in 2004 as a result of 2 extra Albertan seats. It is composed from the previous ridings: 55.5% from Edmonton Southwest, 20.9% from Edmonton-Strathcona and 23.6% from Wetaskiwin. The current MP James Rajotte of the Conservative Party of Canada (2000 to present).
