Edensor Park, New South Wales

Edensor Park is a suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, located roughly 40 kilometres (25 miles) south-west of the city centre and is a constituent suburb of Fairfield City Council, a municipality of Sydney. Its neighbouring suburbs are Abbotsbury, Bossley Park, Bonnyrigg Heights, Bonnyrigg, Greenfield Park and Cecil Hills. Edensor Park, like its surrounding suburbs, was nothing more than farmland until the 1970s, when it was developed into a residential settlement, continuing an ongoing growth trend in the western Sydney area. Edensor Park is served by two government-funded primary schools, a basic shopping centre (Edensor Park Plaza) and numerous parks and reserves (Angle Vale Reserve, Allambie Reserve and Bosnjak Park are parks of note). Perhaps Edensor Park's greatest claim to fame is that it is the home of the Sydney United football (soccer) team, a member of the Australian National Soccer League (NSL).
