Ed Townsend (April 16, 1929August 13, 2003) was an American singer/songwriter known for the 1958 hit "For Your Love," and also for co-writing and co-producing with Marvin Gaye his 1973 hit "Let's Get It On" (along with three other songs on Gaye's highly successful Let's Get It On album).
