East Lancashire RailwayThe East Lancashire Railway is a heritage railway in Lancashire, England. The line which is now just over 12 miles long and stretches from Rawtenstall in the north through Irwell Vale, Ramsbottom and Summerseat to Bury, and as from Septermber 2003 now runs east out to Heywood. The railway is open every weekend of the year and holds a number of themed events and galas throughout the year including Diesel, Steam and Thomas Events and also offers Driver Experience Courses. The railway is run using volunteer members from the East Lancashire Preservation Society (ELPRS) Locomotives - Steam Locomotives
