Earl Jellicoe

Earl Jellicoe is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was bestowed in 1925 on Admiral of the Fleet Sir John Jellicoe after he returned from New Zealand, where he had served for four years as Governor-General. The other titles held by the Earl are: Viscount Jellicoe (created 1917) and Viscount Brocas (1925). Furthermore, the second Earl, who has served as First Lord of the Admiralty and Lord Privy Seal, was made a life peer as Baron Jellicoe of Southampton in 1999.
